Born on June 24, 1982, in Valjevo, Filip Narančić turned his passion for architecture and design into a thriving career. He graduated from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, Department of Architecture and Urbanism. During his studies, he launched a pilot project that later evolved into today’s Infinity Design Studio.

The Music of the Chains memorial required a conceptual architectural solution that commemorates the suffering and resilience of enslaved African Americans through an emotionally immersive spatial experience.
Key challenges included:

Solution:
A comprehensive conceptual design approach was implemented to enhance symbolic and sensory impact:

Developed a raw concrete structural frame with an overhanging roof

Suspended hundreds of rusted chains to form an interactive curtain

Applied a dark reflective floor surface for spatial immersion

Designed the installation to allow visitors to move freely within the space

Integrated chain movement as a sound-generating element

Utilized light and shadow to emphasize spatial depth

Selected materials such as concrete, rusted metal, and reflective surfaces
